NMMA congratulates industry leaders Ann Baldree and Joan Maxwell on 2015 STEP Ahead award wins

On Thursday, February 26, the Manufacturing Institute announced recipients of the 2015 Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Awards, a prestigious recognitiyon of excellence and leadership. Among the 130 women selected are Joan Maxwell, president of Regulator Boats  and NMMA chairperson and Ann Baldree, vice president of Chaparral and Robalo Boats and member of the NMMA Boat Manufacturer Division Board of Directors. Both Maxwell and Baldree have played significant roles in building a stronger and more innovative recreational boating industry. NMMA congratulates both women on receiving this honor and thanks them for their dedication, leadership, advocacy and excellence in marine manufacturing.

 
The STEP Awards honor women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry, from the factory-floor to the C-suite. On March 26, The Manufacturing Institute will recognize these Honorees from over 100 companies at the STEP Awards in Washington, D.C. The STEP Awards program will highlight each Honoree and Emerging Leader's story, including their leadership and accomplishments in manufacturing. 
 
The STEP Awards are part of the larger STEP Ahead initiative launched to examine and promote the role of women in the manufacturing industry through recognition, research, and best practices for attracting, advancing, and retaining strong female talent.
